1960 Lincoln Continental Mark V Coupe Barn Find
1960 Lincoln Continental Mark V Coupe Barn Find
Now this is a Lincoln to have! It is being listed as a field fresh 1960 Lincoln Continental Mark V Coupe Barn Find. Half the reason that I like this car is my dealership had a 1959 Garage Find Continental Convertible.
So this 1960 Lincoln Continental Mark V is a fairly rare model. It is one of 1461 Hardtop Coupes built that year.
It is using a 430 V8 that is a somewhat known engine for hot rodders back in the early 60’s. It then is loaded with Power Steering, Power Brakes, Air Conditioning of course, Power Windows, a Breezewat Rear Window, 4 way power seats, power lubricator (not sure what that is)?
It is listed as having a solid body that would be good for a restoration or leave it as a cool Rat Rod.
I do not think this car should be Rat Rodded personally. Way to nice and cool looking to be rat rodded with these lines and those headlights 🙂
It is said to run but, only with fuel run directly into the carburetor and will need work to be driven on the streets. So it is being asked that a trailer be brought to tow it to where ever it is being taken to as it is sold (As is where is)
So you will have to think is it just that there is bad gas in the tank or is the tank rotted 😕 Maybe just the fuel lines have rusted or maybe just the rubber lines have cracked from dry rot? We had the problem of rotted rubber lines on the 1959 Conti Convertible we had too.
The interior looks half way decent considering how long this car most likely sat and at least it may have sat indoors or in the shade. That would keep the seats a bit better and not let it get all sun faded or rotted.
Anyway you want to look at it I think this is a killer find and shouldn’t be rat rodded. It is to nice a car to do that to 🙄
