Collapsed Barn Find Buick
Collapsed Barn Find Buick
Not quite sure if this collapsed barn find Buick was actually found in a Barn or a Garage that collapsed but, needless to say it had sat there for quite a few years neglected 🙁
Crushed Buick 8
It was learned that this car actually started and ran rather well even though it was somewhat hard to get into to try to start it obviously. So it took a while to decide what to do with this somewhat solid hulk of Straight Eight Dynaflow powered beast.
It was then decided to try to bend the top up at least so the steering wheel could be turned so it could be moved around the lot more easily. For what the car would be worth if it was even in perfect condition obviously made fixing or restoring it a no-go situation, unfortunately.
The car sat around for quite a while and then another solid and uncrushed Buick was found but, it was running fine. No parts were needed from this vehicle so it was parted out basically. Front fenders where taken off first along with all the hard to find chrome and pieces. Things like the Horn and bits like that. Wasn’t too much worth anything in the interior to bother with so that all stayed in there basically. I was only partly there as it was disassembled so I don’t know if the rear fenders were saved or not 😕
Pretty sure the radiator was saved or sold along with some or all of the front suspension too. I tried to BS some people into thinking this was the other car but, they caught on right off the bat as they were Buick fans. I am not really for cars of this age. So the Straight Eight Dynaflow trans was pulled and sold off to someone else to use 🙂
