Fastest way to build a Railroad Bridge with SLJ900/32
New ways
The Fastest way to build a Railroad Bridge with SLJ900/32 should now be the standard it would seem?
The SLJ900/32 is a 580 ton 300 foot long and 24 foot wide mega machine that has to cost more than any car, house or amount of money I will make in a lifetime 🙁
The advantage to using this unit is that you no longer have to use cranes to lift bridge sections up the pillars. Seeing as the ground below can also be water aside from being incredibly hostile to large equipment. Making bridge building a much more expensive and drawn out process to accomplish.
As you can see from watching the video that this is one of the most extreme machines that has been manufactured in a while. It uses 64 wheels to move and are arranged into 4 groups of 16. Each group can pivot to 90° so it can move sideways if needed.
It is manufactured in China believe it or not by the Beijing Wowjoint Machinery Company. I have to wonder if the Wowjoint name is do to translation because I would be wary of buying something that expensive from Wowjoint.
If anyone has been watching the American Rail Roads they have seen a lot of truck sets breaking as they are being purchased from China and failing. The wheels are coming right off the axles and other show the truck bridge breaking because of the crap quality of Chinese Steels. So one must wonder if their own products are failing the same way?
Or do they actually save the quality metals for themselves while selling the junk to other countries? It’s a serious question actually as they everyone knows what happens when you buy things made in China! Now what if you are buying a multi million dollar piece of equipment like this.
