Racing Kart Barn Find at Estate Sale
Racing Kart Barn Find at Estate Sale
This McCulloch Racing Kart Barn Find at Estate Sale was found along with a bunch of Triumphs and various other things stashed away. It uses a 2 stroke engine and had a spare Clinton with a tillotson carburetor.
So this racing go cart was found stashed away in the back of the barn with a spare racing engine and parts. It uses a 2 stroke racing engine but, it is not a McCulloch spare engine. I do believe it is a Clinton 2 stroke racing engine that is waiting to be installed on this go kart frame.
It has a spare Clinton engine with a multitude of parts to go along with it. So along with the McCulloch engine on the kart the spare engine has the stock carburetor with it’s interesting air filter still mounted onto it. Then it has some high-performance exhaust pipe with the muffler in mounted on it. However, the spare engine has a Tillotson carburetor mounted on it instead of the stock style intake system. Unsure of the amount of use the spare engine has seen 😕
The kart has old school slicks on it being the tall thin flat kind. I remember using something like this on a friends cart racing around my yard back in the mid 80’s. Boy does that bring back some memories 🙄
Anyway aside from all that this was found in a barn collection at an estate sale and it’s history is pretty much unknown after that. It is now basically up for sale as it is going to be taking up space like the old Moped that is sitting around the shop now. Anyone that may know the history of a Kart like this can feel free to post some information about it or make some offers if they would like to have it or the moped in their collections 😕

Woah! I’m really digging the template/theme of this site. It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s very hard to get that “perfect balance” between superb usability and appearance. I must say you have done a very good job with this. Addition…
