So this car that was bought almost a decade ago is being pulled out and cleaned up to put on the market.

This Semi Survivor 1959 Impala out of storage would seem to have a possible history to it? Seems it was a 348 powered car at one point in it’s life by some of the clues.

Small Block Chevy
250 HP 327

The previous owner of this car bought it off of someone that had a towing business that looked for older odd and antique cars. Well anyway the person who bought it was not exactly what you would call a good driver as I witnessed him parking a car by hitting the cars parked on either side. In other words he would pull forward until he bumped the car and then back up until he hit the car behind him. Then he would get out without a care in the world after tagging both other cars 😯

Anyway on to what possibly makes this car what it is thought to be. As can be seen in the video it had a fairly large tow ball on the car that seemed to have been on the car from way back when. Then trying to find out what engine is in it now to came up to be a ’62 or ’63 250 Horsepower 327 4 barrel engine with a Powerglide.

However the car has things pointing out to it being an original 348 powered car. Yes it would be a bit odd for a 4 door car to be 348 powered but, it did have a tow hitch on it. So it may have been ordered with a 348 and used a tow vehicle for a family Boat or something like that. It was driven to the lot years ago when the car was used as a trade in. The owner obviously thought the wood trunk floor would last when he put it in who knows how long ago cause it didn’t look like it was there when the car was being cleaned up to be put up for sale. Seeing how it has solid front fenders and some other things that are hard to find the price is set at $2500 to start.
