1939 Studebaker Hearse

Last One on Earth

This 1939 Studebaker Hearse is said to be the last one on Earth and was hidden in a Barn for many years before it came here listed on Craigslist 39 Studebaker Hearse

This 1939 Studebaker Hearse is very solid and complete making for a great restoration project
Cool looking Grille

I did a search after reading the listing for this 1939 Studebaker Hearse as in the listing it is also claimed to be a 1941?

1939 Studebaker Hearse could make the ultimate custom RV for Street Rd events like Hershey or Carlisle
Perfect as a RV

Did a quick Google search and and it does appear to be a 1939 model. However seeing that it could be a coach built vehicle who knows what the title may be listed as?

1939 Studebaker Hearse still with the Flathead six under the hood if anyone feels like doing a full restoration
All original
Aside from all that it is also listed as being a solid and un-rotted vehicle. Besides the rear door that is mentioned to look worse in real life than in the picture. I dealt with a used car dealership that specialized in Hearses HERE.
1939 Studebaker Hearse is very solid with the back door being the worst part of the vehicle
Supposed to be the worst part
I am not a Hearse specialist or follower really but, I do like an off the grid type of car. This would fit the bill on that part. However seeing as how I wouldn’t restore it, what kind of resto-mod or street rod could I make out of it?
LS swap would be the first thought as the flat head wouldn’t power it for jack squat these days. As far as the chassis goes it would be all custom. Most likely a Fat Mans Fabrication front suspension or something to that extent.

Rear axle even thought you would think just leave it, would have to be upgraded at least so you would have some decent brakes on it without having to do a lot of custom work to make disc brakes fit. It’s not like you are going to make it a handling car so at least that is out of the question. More of a cool and different RV that you can sleep in at far away show like Carlisle or Hershey PA.
