THE JUNKYARD THAT TIME FORGOT

THE JUNKYARD THAT TIME FORGOT

It would seem that the person that took this video of THE JUNKYARD THAT TIME FORGOT stumbled upon a junkyard full of 1940’s car that had been sitting for decades untouched 🙁

It was posted that he was there shooting this video in 2000 and the location was St. Genevieve, Missouri. He stumbled on this very old abandoned junkyard that obviously had not been touched for decades upon decades.

He also stated that it was no longer there in case anyone was to try to track this place down and try to pillage it for parts and cars. Aside from that what was there was a fairly interesting lot of cars to say the least 😕

It starts out with a Chevy sedan that is in quite rough shape. Then on to some deluxe old panel truck as the camera man states. It is a bit odd looking from a distance but, hey it is what it is I guess? Then on to what he claims he thinks is the junkyards tow truck. However I am not seeing a Boom on it so maybe just a yard truck then. After that has to be the latest model car on the lot being a 1961 Chevy. Kind of tells you how old this yard must be?

Then some for of old Dump Truck that has got to have been sitting there for 50 or so years at least. Reminds me of a stake truck around a 1/2 mile from my house I keep meaning to go find out about 😕 Then on to an older Pontiac and some 60’s Ford of some sorts behind the house. A house that reminds me of the house at the Farm of my old 1937 V8 Ford Pick Up that was in Warren NJ years ago that I missed picking up 🙁

Then he go’s on to see cars sunk deeper and deeper in the mud after being under water many times over the years. Considering it was a “Junkyard” a lot of the cars do not seem to be missing parts? So was this a functioning junkyard or was this some kind of Hoarder of some sorts from years ago? I mean cars back then were a dime a dozen so you could see how someone could just start adding and adding to his hobby until it outgrew his lot.

What ever it must have been an interesting deal to get all this stuff out seeing as it all sank in for close to half a century 😯
